Hank: A Fast, Open-Source, Batch-Updatable, Distributed Key-Value Store

Bryan Duxbury, an Engineer at Rapleaf, announce a couple of days ago the availability of a new key/value store Hank. Hank is a new open source distributed database project that is part of Rapleaf.  Their system utilizes Hadoop and Cascading as the processing component. However, they failed to find a suitable database that was fast, scalable, and wouldn’t degrade performance during updates.
