Membase The Database Powering Farmville

ReadWriteWeb has an article that describes how Farmville uses Northscale's Membase NoSQL database. The article itself is a little light on the technical details, but Zynga is boasting "500,000 ops-per-second". In addition to the RWW article, I've included a link to a whitepaper published by Northscale.
